About Troop 46

Here you will find many details about the troop and it operates. Whether you are a prospective scout or parent or an existing member of the troop, this is an ideal place for you to be. We're still in the process of building this area and really appreciate feedback.

Where we meet

Matthews Presbyterian Church
207 West John St
Matthews, NC

We meet from 7:00 to 8:30pm on Tuesday nights all year long.

Monthly Outings

Each month the troop goes on an outing. We typically leave on Friday evening and return on Sunday. These outings include activities like camping, hiking, canoeing, biking, skiing, and more.

Summer camp

Troop 46 attends a week-long summer camp each year. Our current philosphy is to attend Mecklenburg Scout Reservation (MSR), also know as Camp Grimes, two years in a row and then visit an out of council camp every third year.

High Adventure

In addition to the adventures each month, Troop 46 plans a High Adventure trip every other summer. These high adventure trips consist of at least one crew of scouts and leaders for the purpose of attending one of the four Boy Scouts of America High Adventure Bases.
